The LED light nests up into the drip tray from the bottom, and is secured by a magnetic cap. The light is controlled by a wireless remote and can be set to 12 different colors in addition to bright white.
The light is a battery powered, submersible LED meant for aquariums. This was important because the drip tray is still fully functional, and I wanted to make sure the light would be safe if there were ever leaks due to a printing error. That being said – I’ve never had a single drip tray leak after printing thousands of them over the last couple years.
